Archeological Aspect of an Ancient Roman Legend
When the stories about the primordia Urbis, which passed for a long time as thehistory of Rome, have been proven in a great part
to be mere legends, it many seem rather audacions claiming historical value for a tale, too profane even to be called a legends
that of the courtesan Laurentia and the god Hercules.
In fantoming our story we find, however, elements of religious beliefs with parallels in the history of ancient religions and modern folklore.
