Description

Illustration of three boys sitting on the watherside and one little boy swimming.
It is thanks to Franck Rt. that supplement coffee spread in Hungary. Such supplements for coffee are: chicory-root, fig, malt, corn, sty, carrot, etc.
The coffee supplement producing company was founded by Johann Heinrich Franck in 1827 and first settled in Hungary under the name Franck Henrik and Sons in 1882. At first they imported their product from Zagreb after which, from 1888 they started producing them from a plant in Kassa. By the end of the 19th century the company enjoyed international acclaim with subsidiaries in many cities.
Their well renowned coffee-mill trademark was developed in the late 1890’s and early 1900’s while their most celebrated products were as follow: Frank’ chicory coffee, Katherine Kneipp’s malt-coffee, the Enrilo, the Franck Hydropath, the Franck Karo, Perola, Doszka, Rosil and Edeska.
